YOU MUST ORGANISE YOUR CONFERENCE TICKETS AND ACCOMODATION SEPERATE TO THIS TOUR.
RCS Conference Website: www.rcsic2020.com
Tickets can be purchased via the website. We also have a mailing list if interested parties want to receive conference emails direct to their inbox (submit the ‘Sign up for updates’ form in the footer of the website).
The conference will run over the weekend of Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July, followed by optional half-day workshops on Monday morning, 20th July. Please see attached draft agenda (please note - the agenda is still being finalised, so start and finish times may change slightly). All events will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in South Bank, Brisbane (venue info here: http://www.rcsic2020.com.au/venue/).
Conference seminars – Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July – AUD$850 if booked by April 30; AUD $935 thereafter.
Location: Plaza Terrace Room, BCEC.
Two days of speakers, including Zach Bush, Charles Massy, Joel Williams, Pierre Weill, Walter Jehne, Terry McCosker and Sarah McCrum, plus Australian producers Di Haggerty and Garlone Moulin, with two more speakers yet to be confirmed.
Morning tea and lunch is provided, and included in the ticket price.
There will be no concurrent sessions run on the Saturday and Sunday, i.e. all sessions will take place in the plenary room and delegates will attend all speakers.
Trade show – Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July – included in seminar ticket price.
Location: Plaza Terrace Foyer, BCEC.
We have invited organisations whose values align with those of RCS – that is, those who strive to empower food and fibre producers to profitably regenerate land, lives and spirit through provision of unique and industry leading goods and services – to attend the conference as sponsors and exhibitors over the Saturday and Sunday of the conference. Delegates will have opportunities through the conference breaks and at the conclusion of both days to visit and network with our sponsors and exhibitors.
Gala dinner – Saturday evening, 18th July – AUD$130 (optional extra)
Location: Boulevard Room, BCEC.
To celebrate 30 years of the Grazing for Profit™ School being taught in Australia, we will be holding a gala dinner on Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start and will run through until around 11:30pm. Delegates will enjoy a scrumptious meal prepared by one of Brisbane’s leading chefs, and will have the opportunity to kick up their heels on the dancefloor. We’ve asked that gala dinner delegates dress up a little where possible (cocktail attire), although we certainly understand limitations of lugging clothes halfway around the world and across western Queensland, only to be worn for a few hours at a dinner! Jeans and a nice, clean button-up shirt (or similar ladies attire) will be perfectly acceptable!
Workshops – Monday morning, 20th July – AUD$220 (optional extra)
Location: Rooms P2, P3 and P4 (right by the Plaza Terrace Room), BCEC.
Workshops are an optional extra for delegates, and will run from approximately a 8am through to midday, followed by lunch. Morning tea will also be provided.
The three workshops will be run concurrently, and delegates can opt to attend one of the following:
Workshops will have a reasonably open agenda, allowing delegates to ‘dig deeper’ into questions and areas of interest that arose over the course of the weekend.
Accommodation
We’ve negotiated special rates at recommended hotels nearby the venue. More information (prices etc.) can be found here: http://www.rcsic2020.com.au/accommodation/. If delegates wish to take advantage of these rates, reservations can be made via the online conference registration process.
